Annette Lewis

UKCC Level 3 Showjumping Specific Coach

Annette Lewis started riding at the age of 2 at her father’s stables in Chigwell , Essex .

She has had a very successful career representing Britain both nationally and internationally.

She started her career by winning her first Pony Club Jumping competition at the tender age of 4 and an affiliated 148cm open at the age of 6. She made her mark in ponies by winning the 148cm Junior class at Birmingham International at the NEC and the Royal International at Wembley.

She was picked to represent England in the Under 16 Junior Europeans at the age of 11 years. She was also chosen to represent England in the Young Riders Europeans Team and the Senior British Team, where she achieved double clears in her first two appearances in the Nation Cup Team. She has appeared in many Nation Cup Teams both at home at Hickstead and abroad.

She has competed at many venues including The Royal International Horse Show, Birmingham International, Royal Windsor and Olympia and many more international venues.

She has had major success at all of these shows including the Young Showjumper Award at Olympia , The Grand Prix at Royal Windsor and The Queen Elizabeth Cup at Hickstead where she came 2nd two years running.

Annette has been teaching all ages and levels for over 15 years.

Roland Tong

World Championship Rider and several times National Dressage Champion

Roland Tong at just 32 years old has won numerous titles both national and regional from Novice to Advanced. He has secured hundreds of top 10 placings and has won multiple Young Horse titles including 4, 5, 6 year old classes, as well as Supreme Shearwater Champion.

Roland has also represented Great Britain at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden and the CDI in Sydney 2004.

Mark Ruddock

International Trainer, Rider & Judge.

Yorkshire born Mark Ruddock has been based at Whitewood for over 20 years.

Mark combined Eventing up to advanced level and Grade B Showjumping, until specialising in Dressage 10 years ago. Mark has produced many horses of his own and on behalf of clients, from Novice to Grand Prix level.

He has won regional Championships at every level and been well placed in National Championships. Mark is also a List 2 Dressage Judge.

Pupils range from pony club to Advanced dressage & eventers competing at 4 Star level as well as an Olympic hopeful.
